Sit down with a pen and pad (old school method) and think about some of their favorite foods or the best nuts they love and you can brainstorm some ideas with those. This is why so many people will name their squirrels after food like acorns, olive, apple, hammy, and etc.

- Spanish word that means squirrel is Ardilla (this could also be used as a womanly name)

Just make sure that you choose a name that you can pronounce easily.

Squirrels are acrobatic and run around the backyard like crazy. I’ve seen some that run around in my backyard that reminds me of my sister-in-law and sister.
There’s nothing wrong with giving them a name after a member of your family. Of course, if you think they will be offended. Most people won’t be offended.
